Rihanna: “I Can’t Believe It’s 10 Years Already.”
Even Rihanna was astonished at reaching a decade in her career.
On August 30th, the day she released her debut album Music Of The Sun, Rihanna celebrated 10 years in music. She told AP, “Definitely a very big deal for me. You know, I can’t believe it’s 10 years already, but we definitely have to celebrate this year.”
Even though she has been relatively quiet on social media about the milestone, she does plan to celebrate soon. “There are a few things I have in mind, so you’ll have wait on that, but don’t think I’m forgetting because this means a lot to me that I made it to 10 years.”
Rihanna also spoke on the status of R8.”New album is going really, really great. We have recorded a lot of songs and I can’t wait to finish and put it out. That’s my next step,” she said.
The pop star eluded to the fact that a number of projects (you know, Dior, PUMA, upcoming fashion line etc.) has slowed down the process of the album, telling ODE “I’m also working on a lot of other projects. So there’s a lot of babies now, not just the album. But we’ve never stopped working on it and I can’t wait to put it out.”
These comments came at the launch of her 7th fragrance Ri Ri, yesterday at a Macy’s in Brooklyn. Where, along with her past hits, she had Porgie & Murda’s “Ben Up” playing at full blast while meeting with fans.

PUMA also released a video clip yesterday, featuring the instrumental from “Bitch Better Have My Money,” from an upcoming campaign.
