The part-time pop star’s new single was rejected by Rihanna.

Singer/songwriter Sia (“Chandelier“) has a new album on the way called This Is Acting – an LP filled with songs that other artists decided to pass up. One of those cuts is “Cheap Thrills,” a pop-dancehall fusion that was meant for Rihanna. (It sounds right up her alley, too)

However, even though “Cheap Thrills” (and another one called “One Million Bullets” that was pitched) was rejected, Sia did say in an interview with BBC (via Stereogum) that the two have continued to work together – the Bajan-beauty recently taking four songs after coming by her house to listen to demos. (She also has one she is “pretty sure” that made it on the album.) Listen to the interview (Rihanna portion at the 14:24 mark) below.

Speaking of ANTi… where in room 5 now. Soon there!
