Civile k finally released his first project Babylon a few weeks ago, and the EP shows that the rapper has some promise. His anti-system POV from his first offerings “Petals” and “Commotion” are consistently featured throughout Babylon, showing that despite his young age, the rapper is very aware of his surroundings – and willing to do something about it.

However, outside of the strongest efforts, “B.U.$.$.A” – a freestyle over “Da Streets Need A Prophet” chilling production, “Breathe” – a funky jazz-inspired jam supported by Kween’s silky harmonies – and Giibbz of Fizix’s scene stealing appearance on “Free[ze]”, the rest of the project’s boom-bap fare sounds like you’re listening to the same song over and over again.  Listen below.
