An Upscale Restaurant Is Selling Corned Beef & Biscuit for $20
Relish Epicurea, located in the plush, Limegrove Lifestyle Centre on the West Coast, has a new menu item that may look a bit familiar, even though way pricier than you might remember. The upscale eatery is offering good ole’ corned beef and bis…sorry, Corn Beef Hash w/ Crix and Red Onion Chutney, according to their Bajan Soul Food Breakfast menu, for two Charles Duncan O’neals.
What?! You ask, shocked, because you could use the money to buy the items, do it at home and get more than the half-portion advertised, and still have money lef’ back to buy sain to wash it down. But remember, this isn’t for you. I believe this menu item was created as a culinary experience for visitors and rich locals to see how brek Bajans eat day-to-day; or for those looking to engage in a post-Crop Over cash-strapped diet.
Should you decide to go try it to then declare you could make it better afterwards, I recommend that you try the Corned Beef Benedict for $10 more. It comes with a poached egg, brioche bread, spicy hollandaise, and the relief that there will be no annoying dry biscuit stuck in the back of your throat, or any stress of having to open the can manually after losing they key.
